Upon arrival at Guwahati airport, you will be warmly welcomed and promptly taken on a scenic drive to Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site located in the Golaghat district of Assam. Kaziranga is renowned for being home to the world's largest population of the one-horned rhinoceros, along with a diverse range of other flora and fauna. Covering an expansive area of 430 square kilometers, Kaziranga is a nature lover's paradise. Upon reaching Kaziranga, you will check in at your accommodation and spend the night immersed in the serene environment of this magnificent park.

Begin your day with an
early morning elephant safari in Kaziranga National
Park. The safari
offers a unique opportunity to
explore the park's wilderness up close, with the majestic one-horned rhinos, wild elephants, and other wildlife

enjoy a traditional Assamese breakfast. In the afternoon, embark on a thrilling
jeep safari through the park, covering different zones to maximize your
wildlife sightings. The day will also include visits to nearby attractions such
as orchid gardens, tea plantations, and ethnic villages that offer a glimpse
into the local culture. Enjoy the evening at leisure, savoring the delicious

After a hearty
breakfast, depart from Kaziranga and head towards Majuli, the largest river
island in the world and the first island district of India.
En route, there is an optional
stop to meet Padma Shri Jadav Payeng, famously known
as "The Forest
Man of India." If available, you will have the chance
to hear his inspiring story of transforming a barren wasteland into a
lush forest with his own hands.
Upon arrival in Majuli, you will explore the island's unique culture and traditions. Majuli is famous for its Vaishnavite monasteries, known as Satras, which are the cultural and religious centers of the island. You will check in at your accommodation in Majuli and enjoy a peaceful evening surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the island.

Spend the day exploring Majuli, an island that feels more like a miniature world in itself. Begin with a visit to the various Satras, where you can witness the devotion and simplicity of the Vaishnavite monks. Afterward, visit the tribal villages of Majuli, where you can observe the traditional lifestyles and customs of the Mishing and Deori tribes. hills. It is a popular spot for picnics and boating, offering a tranquil
atmosphere to start your day. Upon reaching Shillong, visit the Don Bosco
Museum, which showcases the rich cultural diversity and heritage of Northeast
India. Continue your exploration with a visit to Lady Hydari Park, a
well-maintained garden with a small zoo, and Ward’s Lake, where you can enjoy a boat ride.
Conclude your day with a visit
to the grand Shillong Cathedral before returning to your hotel
for an overnight stay.

After enjoying a delicious lunch in Mawlynnong, continue your journey to Dawki, where you will be mesmerized by the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River. Start your day early with a hearty breakfast before embarking on the famous Double Decker Living Root Bridge trek. This trek, which takes about three hours each way, leads you through dense forests, across rivers, and up steep inclines. The living root bridge, a marvel of bio-engineering created by the Khasi people, is a sight to behold, with roots of rubber trees woven together to form a sturdy bridge over the river. After the trek, you will have the opportunity to explore nearby attractions, including local churches and markets, where you can purchase traditional Khasi souvenirs. In the evening, return to your hotel in Cherrapunjee for a well-deserved rest.

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Cherrapunjee and begin your journey back to Shillong, with a detour through the scenic Jaintia Hills region. You can also visit Phe Phe Falls, which requires a short trek from the road, offering an adventurous yet rewarding experience. Continue your journey with a visit to the Nartiang Monoliths, an archaeological site with ancient monolithic structures that stand as a testament to the region's history.
