    “Haere Mai”; – Welcome to Auckland, the City of Sails. After clearing customs and immigration you’ll enter

    the friends and family arrivals hall. Once you enter this area, our representative  will be here to meet you, and transfer you to your accommodation.

    The “City of Sails” is New Zealand’s largest city and surrounded by two harbours. Find out why Auckland

    is regularly voted one of the best lifestyle cities in the world, with the cosmopolitan city centre

    complemented by great escapes within half an hour of downtown.

    You have the day available to explore the area – perhaps take a harbour cruise or go sailing, see

    Auckland from above with a visit to the Sky Tower; take a cruise and do a wine tour on Waiheke Island.

    Alternatively if you wish to stay on land you may like to join a city sights tour, or visit the museum.

    This tour enables you to visit the Waitomo Glowworm Caves and a number of leading attractions in Rotorua, including a Farm Show and Te Puia with its mighty geysers & boiling mud pools, and a cultural performance of Maori song and dance inside Te Puia’s sacred meeting house.

    As you depart Auckland today, suburban scenery gradually gives way to the farmland of South Auckland,an area favoured by bloodstock breeders.

    The Waikato River will then accompany you for much of your journey through the green countryside to reach Hamilton,

    a city carved in two by the mighty Waikato River.

    Continue South through prime farmland to reach the Waitomo Caves region (State Highway 37,Waitomo Caves Road).

    Approximate driving time Auckland to Waitomo: 2 hours, 50 minutes

    Distance: 195kms / 121miles

    10.50 am Please report to the Waitomo Caves Visitor Centre at 39 Waitomo Caves Road for your

    11.05am tour of Waitomo Caves.

    Here you enjoy a guided tour of the world famous Waitomo glow worm caves including an underground boat ride (weather permitting) on a subterranean river.

    Overhead thousands of tiny glow worms light up the cave walls and roof.

    After your visit to Waitomo Caves Travel through a mixture of farmland, lakeland and forest to reach the geothermal city of Rotorua.

    While onboard your coach from Waitomo to Rotorua, a picnic-styled lunch is served.

    Approximate driving time Waitomo to Rotorua: 2 hours, 15 minutes

    Distance: 156kms / 97miles.

    Rotorua is one of the most famous destinations in New Zealand, and has a long history of welcoming visitors.

    There is a scent of sulphur in the air, and at nearby geothermal hotspots there are spouting geysers, acrid-

    smelling mud pools bubbling and belching, and warm geothermal pools and ponds that create a kaleidoscope of colour.

    Rotorua is also the heartland of New Zealand’s Maori culture, and visitors can enjoy a performance of song and dance,

    Activities and Attractions abound, with something to satisfy everyone from sightseeing to adrenaline pumping adventure options.

    After your sightseeing tour of Rotorua, return to Auckland where your driver will drop you to Sky City Coach Terminal, 102 Hobson Street

    Depart on a small and intimate tour through the capital city of New Zealand.

    Head directly to the iconic cable car, your tour includes the ride up the steep cable railway to the top station.

    Later visit You will visit must-see attractions including the famous Wellington Botanic Garden, the famous Beehive and Parliament buildings. Enjoy the rugged southern bays and coastline and amazing 360° panoramic views  and the breathtaking views of the city from the summit of Mount Victoria.

    Post breakfast and check out you will be transferred to Wellington airport for your onward flight to Queenstown.

    Arrive Queenstown

    On arrival into Queenstown you will be met by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel.

    Perhaps the most famous of all South Island cities, Queenstown’s pulse thumps to the beat of action,

    adrenalin and visual wonder. Set on the shores of Lake Wakatipu with the towering peaks of the

    Southern Alps in the background, this is the place that is often referred to as the ‘Adventure Capital of

    the World’. Alive with activity all year round, there is enough activity to keep you entertained all day and

    all night. Most visits to Queenstown will involve some form of outdoor adventure, as well as simply

    relaxing and taking in the scenery from one of the many cafés. And then as night falls it’s time to

    discover the town’s energetic nightlife!

    Pick Up: 07:15 AM from your hotel in Queenstown.

    Travel by luxury coach on an unforgettable journey from Queenstown into Milford Sound. Located within

    the World Heritage Fiordland National Park, this region is rich with dense rainforest, lakes and waterfalls

    cascading from rugged mountain peaks.

    Travel through the Southern Alps via the Homer Tunnel, a 1.2km tunnel drilled through a solid mountain

    of rock. Upon arrival at Milford Sound, board your vessel for a spectacular and leisurely cruise in New

    Zealand’s most famous waterway.

    Throughout your cruise, a nature guide provides an engaging commentary about the magnificent scenery

    and wildlife. Keep a look out for dolphins, seals and penguins. A picnic lunch is included for you today


    Return to the Milford Visitors centre where you will re-board your coach for travel back to Queenstown,

    arriving at approximately 8.00pm. If the weather is agreeable there is the opportunity to fly back to

    Queenstown (at an additional cost).

    After breakfast & check out , Journey north through the historic gold rush routes of Central Otago to the Mount Cook National Park, a

    World Heritage listed site. Mt Cook is Australasia’s highest mountain at 3724 metres.

    Mt Cook – with panoramic views of Aoraki/Mount Cook enjoy a full buffet lunch (available as a pre-booked option) or take time to explore the Mount Cook Village.

    Here there is time to experience an optional scenic helicopter or skiplane flight with a snow landing (weather permitting).

    The park covers over 70,000 hectares of breathtaking alpine scenery and is also home to the Tasman Glacier; the longest in the Southern hemisphere.

    The road to Mt Cook takes you through high country tussock to beautiful Lake Pukaki.

    You’ll hug the edge of the lake for most of the way up the Tasman Valley to Mount Cook Village.

    At 3724 metres/12,218 feet, Mt Cook (Aoraki) is New Zealand’s highest mountain.

    It towers above a splendid cast of massive snow-clad peaks that make up Mt Cook/Aoraki National Park.

    Nudging one side of Mt Cook is the mighty Tasman Glacier, a 30-kilometre/18-mile giant and one of the longest outside the Himalayas.

    A short drive then brings you to the stunning glacier lake of Tekapo.

    The scenic route to Christchurch leads you out of the Mackenzie Country, named after the legendary

    Scottish sheep rustler who once roamed the area. Enjoy historic sights and museums in the country

    towns of Fairlie and Geraldine. At Mt Somers and Staveley there are historic cottages and lime kilns. The

    highly scenic climb up to Mount Hutt is followed by the natural beauty of the braided Rakaia River.

    Explore the old coal mining settlement of Glentunnel before passing through the farms and fields of the

    Canterbury Plains to the rural centre of Rangiora.

    Tour concludes at approx 7:00pm. Lichfield Street bus exchange in Christchurch
